But first off, how does a cult form in the first place ? What kind of "soil" is required for it to grow and flourish ?
Number one, is a charismatic leader, and number two, would be some like minded disciple/followers ... a leader that has had some personal revelation believed to have come direct from God or a representative of God in a spiritual form or nature.
The followers must have a need, a hunger, to which the leader offers nourishment. Initially the relationships seem like a match made by heaven ... if that seems to hold true long enough, they prosper and grow, and possibly, eventually, becoming a legitimate religion ... but often though, when they go the negative direction, they either fail and break apart or become hidden and secretive, of the occult.
The latter has often been in the news over the years due to the sensationalism of their demise, often assisted by our governmental institutions, most notable being the playing out of fire and brimstone, some would say, in Waco, Texas when the Branch Davidians came under scrutiny and then attack.
Recently the FLDS compound, also in Texas, has been brought into the lime-light of the media for acts (supposedly) against minors ... the children have been separated from the parents and all is still being investigated. Others that we know about were Jonestown in Guiana, Aum Shenrikyo in Japan, and most recently one in upper northeast New Mexico, led by Wayne Bent, AKA, Michael Travesser that was presented on Larry King this last Saturday night, as well as in a recent, and soon to be rerun, documentary, where He is believed by himself and his followers as the Messiah returned.
Now what gets in the heads of these people that become such leaders that so impresses their followers?
I have no doubt (based upon personal experience) that the impetus is extremely "spiritual" ... as has seldom been questioned by the more "successful results" of the founders of such small beginnings that later turned in to full blown religions, such as the spiritual revelations of Joseph Smith, resulting in the Mormon movement that resulting in the Latter Day Saints (LDS) now head quartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
It is my own contention, that the results of these intense spiritual experiences, such as is well known to have been received by Saul of Tarsus on the Road to Damascus, that resulted in his Christian Awakening, where he became known as Paul, later a Christian Saint, and primary source, via his "letters," of the Christian New Testament Bible.
It has almost forever been contended that Jesus the Christ WILL RETURN to earth at some future unknowable date and time ... either in Spirit, in body, or both, the latter expected. We have most all been well indoctrinated about these concepts and what Christ stands for in a Spiritual relationship to us humans here now. Meanwhile the Christian Church has told almost all peoples that they can receive Christ in Spirit and be assured of a place in Heaven, the Kingdom to Come. But of course, the "catch" being that they MUST become an "authorized" Christian under the terms of the dogma and creed through water baptism, in most cases, if not all. Many, if not most, believe this, of those that become seriously involved and swear an oath to God in relationship to such ... then they wait.
But what about the person, religious or not, that has a sudden powerful spiritual awakening ? What seems to them like a visit from heaven, of real divinity, couched in love beyond experience and seemingly profound truths and understandings of a cosmic nature ?
I have had such a personal experience myself about 14 years ago ... it cannot be adequately presented in mere words, it must be experienced to be appreciated. But what I actually first believed, early on, was that in some way, based upon my lifetime of Christian indoctrination by osmosis (I was NOT religious in any way), that Christ Himself MUST have been involved ... the thought and consideration, for a brief few moments in my case, was that MAYBE ... just maybe, that ... I WAS THE CHRIST Himself ... FAR OUT HUH ???
The point being, is that such a spiritual visitation is so overwhelmingly powerful, that one immediately recognizes "other-worldly-ness" to it ... the divinity of religious story come to mind and one seeks to understand their relationship to that, the only thing that "seems" to make sense. The most common stories we have all heard of which come to mind to relate to, some logical rational explanation, for the otherwise unexplainable.
In my own case, I soon passed by that phase of wonderment and settled upon other possibilities, but I will never forget that question about the Christ relationship ... and I have since come to believe it was a valid one, in that, metaphorically, to me, Christ stands for a Spiritual reality associated with God, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, and even our own Internal Soul known by many as their high Self that transcends the lower self, that of their ego.
Thus those things do happen, such an experience, as comparatively rare as they are, they are not completely uncommon, just so misunderstood as to be labeled something else, often a pathological mental disorder related to schizophrenia even. Many mainstream (orthodox) medical professionals to this day do not recognize, nor value, the spiritual implications associated with such experiences.
Getting back to Cult Leaders ... most of those we know about, have had such an experience and have interpreted it in their own way and went from there with what it means to them. They are completely consumed by the belief that they settle upon, and thus become quite motivated in the expression of it ... if they know in their mind that they are meant to be leader or a teacher, they will set themselves up as such. Then there will be contact with other folks who also have been indoctrinated that a special being will appear to guide, lead, and even "save" them ... thus are "born" the "Messiahs" and other cult leaders and their followers.
Some never really get off the ground, many I suspect, but we mere mortals can never be sure, because what happens to the body, such as in the story of Christ, and the members of the Heavens Gate Cult group, are "supposedly" two different happenings, one took the body (supposedly) when the Spirit left, and the others left their bodies behind ... neatly laid out on their bunks ... but only God really knows.
Most of us will just believe the closest of story of our life of indoctrinations that form our believed reality ... and for those that eventually seek something more transcendent, there are many, possibly an infinity, of choices, to which most go with the flow that seems at the time to be their destiny ... and who among us really knows better, considering other potential realms awaiting us all ?
Just some things to ruminate upon ... especially over the changing times ahead, that may well cause many of us to question our reality and place within it. Nice dreams.

GOD ... the interaction of, the NEW-AGE and the OLD-AGE ... a late night musing.
Another comment to another article ( http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977337866) placed here for the record. The Spiritual "circulation" of Creation from start (Alpha) to end (Omega) and what divides or unites us during the process ... as follows:
Fallibility is only a potential in men, not an absolute. Thus all men are fallible, but not all fail ... there surely are some things written that are more true and correct than others. Thus everything should be considered with at least a grain of intuition seeking higher truth.
This idea of religion, and faith in it ... versus spirituality, and belief in it ... seems to be almost the polar opposites, like between the conservative right and the liberal left, between Republican and Democrat, between man and woman ... and between the saved/graced born agains, and those bound for hell (according to the former anyway).
The "old age" and the "new-age" ... the going and the coming ... those of the left hand of God and those of the right hand of God ...
Then because of (+=-), it would appear that there will always be those differences, those opposites and their oppositions ... even wars and rumours of wars because of it ... it is natural, a part of diversity ...
It has been said in various spiritual forums, that we are all ONE and we can never be parted, as in some going to heaven and others to a relative hell ... I believe that is true come the very end of time at Omega ... but meanwhile, while eternity is still being played out in various time formats, anything can happen.
Thus I believe that we are most certainly headed soon for a great parting of company, that there is an ongoing cosmic selection process being in effect as we speak. That at some near future time something will happen of drastic order to separate everybody into basically two different groups, a division and parting of the way ... a "form" of polarization being key.
But ... will it be between groups earlier mentioned, the conservative and the liberal in effect ? The religious and the secular ? The "good" and the "bad" ? Or what ???
The most logical separation to me will be between the dualists (+/-) and the Trinitarians (+=-). Those (the dualists) that think they "know" for sure the difference between (+/-) and are willing to fight about it ... getting to take the opposite "side" (swap roles with each other) in the next go around so they can see how the shoe fits on the other foot ...
AND/OR ... those of us that have found a willingness to get along in appreciation of our natural diversity, those that can cooperate to create synergy rather than destruction ... we being able to transcend dualism in order to blend into the next higher and far more peaceful cosmic reality an actual step closer to God, the Trinity ... this being the "other" choice only for those that have proven to be qualified ... !?!
That is how I see it all working out ... I sort of think metaphorically that when God created us humans, he sent out from one hand the male type being and from the other hand the female type being ... with the idea that they would meet somewhere in creation, get along, hopefully in love and propagate into an ever larger creation of loving expansion, that centered upon their common Spirit (=) ... but God was willing to give them free choice to do as they saw fit ... and they did ... and "fell from the garden" (away from that Spirit) so to speak ...
And ever since we have all been recycled ... through God, returning at death to the opposite hand from which we left (maybe, maybe not), having a little review and schooling to prepare us for the next incarnation, then making another round, a cycle, meeting again on the journey, our opposite, maybe even our soul-mate if fortunate or properly evolved ...
But key to this speculation is that the old-age and the new-age, will also cross paths ... the question then becomes, will they learn from each other and combine ideas in peace and synergy ? ... or will they fight about their differences ?
It is all a part of the grand divine master plan I believe ... and is working out right here on the pages of Gather and everywhere else ... we had best all begin to wake up and see if we are really headed for where we want to think we are ...

As I have just read all to date, I will say that I primarily agree with Berf, Sandy and even Bruce to a degree, but especially to Donald and the following comment by Thomas.
The most fundamentally insistent of the the idea that the Bible, being the ONLY valid source from God to man, that to be taken literally, and being those in great numbers, as if that has any bearing upon truth or validity ... are, in my opinion, locking themselves into an old world historic box of mis-understanding.
But it is their choice and so be it ... they will eventually find out if that is what they bargained for I would think. Some say the bible is as described above, others say it should be taken more metaphorically (I am one of those), and I also think there are far more sources of information that should be used ... but chief amongst them would be our own INtuition, our 6th sense of INternal subjective connection directly to the Spirit of God that INdwells each of us waiting only for recognition by us ... I have recognised such and have been greeted by it and welcomed into it's cosmic Grace, so I know of what I speak about that.
I say then, that many of those so insistent in their pious righteousness about already being "of the elect" as members of "the Church" (the body of Christ) will end up being the very ones that will be told in the end "I know you not" by their own claimed Lord and Saviour.
That those leaving in the great falling away from the Church in the end times, will NOT be the those ones losing faith in Christ, so much as the ones that have come to have a new and transcendent understanding of the relationship between Christ, God, and themselves, the ones that opt for the higher truth that the Church has long since quit providing.
When it it is mentioned that there will come false prophets and those who deceive in the name of God and the Lord Christ ... as if that were to happen in the future or even now, I say that they came a long time ago, and have already thoroughly corrupted the true message of God ... those that still hold onto the inferior message of the counterfeit and corrupted version, are the ones that will end up so sadly surprised when God so reprimands them and accepts them not ...
Something to think about for the more open minded ... but then, they are not the ones in need, it is the close minded that most need, the very ones that would reject this concept ...
To each their own and I will be more than happy to be with like thinkers in the end ... as I am sure the others mentioned will "think" it initially also ... but too late realize that they have fooled themselves into a reality they never intended in truth ... too late then.

A comment made to a "typical" apologist for the "right" ... from one that is centered, yet "accused" of being of the "enemy camp", the "left" ...
Shawn, I would like to here educate you about a huge difference that you are surely unaware of ... yet I do not expect you to either understand, nor ever agree, because your "type" are always in denial of the truth.
People of your persuasion, leaning farther right in things, cannot seemingly, though you will surely claim the contrary, think for yourselves ... you just are NOT individualistic enough to do so ... you are followers, sheep that think themselves lions, and cowardly hawks that decry doves ... you can only function by having leaders to follow and you pick your leaders based upon how much they are against those of the opposite character of yourselves ... conservatives good, liberals bad ...
Then your leaders get their marching orders from the think tanks funded from the leaders of those leaders ... a hierarchy shaped like a pyramid, with the real controllers, the pullers of the strings of all of you, hiding behind their ultra massive wealth in anonymity ... and you are never the wiser ... by both choice and design from the top down, based upon need to know informationally and divide and conquer tactics using lies and secrets ...

I really like Bent's take on all of this ... not long ago in a comment, I tried to layout a view based upon a circle representing a universal sphere, about where God was positioned (this is sort of a metaphoric/allegorical view) where on the opposite side of us, on that ring ... looking at us with his right hand extended in loving acceptance ... we, being the "human" equal but "opposite" of God (made in his image) ...
Yet we, in our life, having "forgotten" that connection, look OUTward, without believing in that inner connection, this connection being spiritual and subjective, does not register on our outer oriented 5 objectively physical senses ... yet it still comes in on the 6th INtuitive INternal sense, which we basically ignore compared to the other 5 ... materialism has become ever more powerful in forming our "reality" ... which we do create according to our own thoughts and where we put our priorities (combined with such thoughts of others, they become the mass human mind of humanity that co-creates our joint social reality) ...
We all intuitively know that we have choices in life, to live or die by, thus we see the "best" choice as the correct one, the positive one, (+), some say the "right" one ...
Then of course dualistically (+/-), the corresponding opposite choice would be the "worst" choice, as the wrong one, the negative one, (-), some (conservatives) say, the (left/liberal) one ... :-) ... that which leads to hell rather than heaven. :-(
So when we look at this arrangement dualistically, (+/-), we see ourselves alone, as the ego (/) at the very center of these choices. Thus the ego is always conflicted and "divided" about which direction to go, about which direction to choose as to choices, (+) which he sees as the best and (-) which he sees as the worst, (+/-) ...
In this dualistic process, the ego (/) sees itself always striving in one straight line direction to the "right" (say for demonstration), towards the extreme of that linear scale he calls "perfection" (and the promise of God if religious) ... he/she may even "conflict" with the "left", the so-called wrong direction, seeing it as evil and leading to hell ... sometimes, at the very basis of such decisions, there is so little difference between choices, that the person (/) cannot easily decide on which is the best direction to go ... just maybe ... think about it now ... just maybe you are really OK just where you are in the process, neither excessively good or bad, just naturally human, doing OK and really good enough for that time and place in creation ... ? ... centered and balanced, nothing really "special," just able to accept the present reality found to be withIN ...
But NO, not according to dualism based upon extremes ... so they (such thinkers) feel compelled to envision those extremes as the examples in their mind, good heaven (like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow) on the right, and the hell of destruction (nothing "worth" anything) on their left ... and of course they are told by society, also dualistic, that they cannot EVER accept "grey areas", everything must be decisive, NO FENCE SITTING ALLOWED (the bible tell us so) !
Thus always moving, always striving hard for the "prize" ... and looking to their left and imagining enemies chasing them, trying to trip them up, and ready to destroy them ... thus they FEAR and come to HATE the enemy to the left ... exaggerations of such ideas and feelings builds Gods and Monsters in their minds ... they can never rest, they must always stay vigilant, on guard, suspecting the "other" as a danger to them ...
Is it any wonder that we have the problems that we do in such a world ???
Is there a better way ... an alternative to this dualism ? ... Yes ? ... No ? ... Maybe ?
The answer for some will be No ... for those that like their dualism, those whose minds are made up, those that KNOW right from wrong and have "that" fixed goal in mind that they have committed to, and maybe sworn to on a Book of Faith ... they are committed, often pious and righteous about it. (their choice and as a group they prefer each other exclusively).
For all others ... maybe ... for the relatively few, that want a BETTER way of living with a better outlook about where they go upon death, and just who they will go there with, to share experiences with ... the answer would be a resounding YES !!!
The latter group will seek something BEYOND (transcendent to) dualism ... they will want more SPIRIT in their life right now ... more peace and love, more acceptance and cooperation with each other and all those they associate with ... forever !
It is these that will seek, and opt for a TRINITY (+=-) relationship to God and God's Spirit in the here and now, right where they are as a human being on earth, that which will save them from suffering, give them the grace and peace of mind now, the ability to not see fear and hatreds of others as a threat to, or a condition of, their present life ... thus knowing beyond faith or doubt that they are loving, loved and protected by God via Spirit, forever through even eternity ... what could be better ? How to "get it" ?
All they have to do is seek ultimate truth from God INtuitively, from right INside of themselves, their body actually being the temple of the Spirit of God, their own Soul, their higher Self, that is transcendent to their lower ego self (which dualists relate to).
That higher Self/Soul/ Spirit/Truth/even the "Christ" of Jesus ... is the (=) that completes the Trinity by bridging the gap/void/ego (/) of duality (=/-) ... that which will automatically transfer you from the linear scale of dualistic striving for distant "perfections" that will never be reached in this lifetime in "that" (dualistic) way ... transporting you to the very center of the "holy cross" (remember circular/spherical/linear metaphor here yet), the central balance point of all creation, right where you truly belong as a human in relationship to God in this here and now !
It will be at "that" point in time, of just such a realization of your true divinity, that you will become as a god, under, and with, God, as one of his "spiritual" agents (actually a god) here on earth ... just as Jesus was upon his baptism by fire (Spirit).
At the moment of "that" realization, you will be at the center of our universe spiritually, at the intersection of the "cross" between the former dualistic realm of others, at the very center of that linear scale, the balance point of that reality ... there realizing for the first time the truth of it as compared to the truth of the whole of the spherical picture of universal reality that contains that cross withIN it ...
Where before as a dualist you looked OUTward and sought God, never "seeing" him/her, you will then/now realize that you have never really been apart, his Spirit has always been withIN you, speaking as your INtuition, that which you never really trusted ... Now you will know without a doubt, the TRUTH that has SET YOU FREE ... FREE AT LAST !!!
That/This, being the value of Trinity relationship (+=-) ... admittedly a PARADOX for a dualistic thinker that demands extremes of right VERSUS wrong , who demands one OVER another (+/-), who CAN NEVER SIT IN THE MIDDLE (=) of anything, because the dualist considers such a middle (/) as a void, a nothing, a grey area of indecision, a trap next to the evil that MUST be escaped ...
Once the transformed being has come to realize that at the transformational center of the metaphoric cross, being there transported spiritually to the very center of the universe, they can then return back to where their physical body still resides ... at that spot on the outer edge of the earlier considered "sphere" (or even back to the center of their linear scale if they want) ... knowing that God is the TOTALITY of EVERYTHING (+=-) and that God's SPIRIT (=) is at the very center and throughout it ALL. Being found the very strongest at the center of every NATURAL TRUTH withIN creation ... INcluding yourself and every other person (NAMASTE (Wanda, I will read your e-mail later and get back to you :-)) ...
Thus such a one will KNOW God as the equal but opposite to themselves, be God still considered on that opposite "side" of the sphere, where the one now sees when looking for, because the one now knows the truth of the DIRECT LINE connection aCROSS the diameter of said sphere ... and the REAL MEETING at the very CENTER withIN ... (however one wants to consider that, metaphorically or literally) ... and at the Center of all, or anything, you can go so far as to realize that God always has your back ... because in reality you ARE BACK to BACK with God at all times, and the Spirit is that which INtervenes (between everything).
Another SYMBOL of such a relationship would be the symbol for INFINITY (the lazy 8, on it's side) ... think about it ...
Because this is the crux of my own spiritual experience and subsequent findings, that which I wrote my book about, and what I believe is the theory of everything, that which I call the BET (+=-), the BASIC EQUATION of TRUTH ... all but the ones who earlier took the NO route, might MAYBE consider copying this for future review ... it may well be worth it beyond what your present imagination may allow ... I present it here and this way, mainly for my my own record keeping, because it so well ties in with other articles I have written on the very same theme, believing that the more ways it is presented, the better the chance of those interested to eventually come to understand.

I really like Bent's take on all of this ... not long ago in a comment, I tried to layout a view based upon a circle representing a universal sphere, about where God was positioned (this is sort of a metaphoric/allegorical view) where on the opposite side of us, on that ring ... looking at us with his right hand extended in loving acceptance ... we, being the "human" equal but "opposite" of God (made in his image) ...
Yet we, in our life, having "forgotten" that connection, look OUTward, without believing in that inner connection, this connection being spiritual and subjective, does not register on our outer oriented 5 objectively physical senses ... yet it still comes in on the 6th INtuitive INternal sense, which we basically ignore compared to the other 5 ... materialism has become ever more powerful in forming our "reality" ... which we do create according to our own thoughts and where we put our priorities (combined with such thoughts of others, they become the mass human mind of humanity that co-creates our joint social reality) ...
We all intuitively know that we have choices in life, to live or die by, thus we see the "best" choice as the correct one, the positive one, (+), some say the "right" one ...
Then of course dualistically (+/-), the corresponding opposite choice would be the "worst" choice, as the wrong one, the negative one, (-), some (conservatives) say, the (left/liberal) one ... :-) ... that which leads to hell rather than heaven. :-(
So when we look at this arrangement dualistically, (+/-), we see ourselves alone, as the ego (/) at the very center of these choices. Thus the ego is always conflicted and "divided" about which direction to go, about which direction to choose as to choices, (+) which he sees as the best and (-) which he sees as the worst, (+/-) ...
In this dualistic process, the ego (/) sees itself always striving in one straight line direction to the "right" (say for demonstration), towards the extreme of that linear scale he calls "perfection" (and the promise of God if religious) ... he/she may even "conflict" with the "left", the so-called wrong direction, seeing it as evil and leading to hell ... sometimes, at the very basis of such decisions, there is so little difference between choices, that the person (/) cannot easily decide on which is the best direction to go ... just maybe ... think about it now ... just maybe you are really OK just where you are in the process, neither excessively good or bad, just naturally human, doing OK and really good enough for that time and place in creation ... ? ... centered and balanced, nothing really "special," just able to accept the present reality found to be withIN ...

God's Trinity or Man's Duality ? (+=-)>(+/-).
Bent, you mention the word "analyze" a few times in the article (http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977296080) ... God is said to have been the original unity of ONE pre-creation ... at Alpha, that one fragmented into the creation that is our universe, containing the fullness of potentials between all (infinity and eternity) and nothing ... (this concept of mine is a panentheistic view) ...
We now find ourselves residing in a 5 sensory world of manifested physicality and objective materialism, "things" considered most real to the average person. Yet they/we have a need to understand and what better way we think than to "analyze" everything, to "break it down" into it's constituent "parts" to see what makes it tick ... that then considered "progress" because we "claim" to better understand that original and natural whole, at least what it consisted of, even though we more than likely destroyed it forever in the analysis of it ...
But never mind, we then take the various "parts" and recombine them in unique and different ways and mixtures "creating" new "products" (which are often patented and sold for profit), (that turned into a materialistic business as usual by now).
Between Alpha (our creation) and Omega (our reunification with God), we will eventually need to make a "turn", a change in "direction", a course correction, IF we expect our "goals" to be met ... we will have to at some point forgo analysis for synthesis, the breaking apart, to the putting together, everything back into a unification with the realization of the inherent connectivity of everything on the spiritual level ...
If we do not do that, we will not enjoy Omega, rather we will experience absolute polarization without the connectivity of Spirit, resulting in a conflict and eventual destruction of all ... or just some mix in between those, maybe similar to what we call reality right now ...
Of course I speak in metaphor here, mostly because it is more forgiving, such as the male of our species is the left brained dominate one of the species, the one most likely to break things apart (logic and rational analysis) to see how they work, the ones that enjoy physical strength (or even mental strength when it gives advantage in ego competition) for domination and control (fear "prevention" by "protection")(patriarchal "readiness")(father knows best), in sign and symbol, positive (+).
On the other hand, the right brained female, less logical but more emotional (compassionate with feelings not rejected and/or controlled)(more loving) but relegated by men as the opposite of men, thus negative in sign (-). (unfortunately some place "value" connotations on what is meant to be primarily "equals but opposites".
If we were to "value" those sexual "signs", as has been done in the religious sense of Adam and Eve, good and bad, we might well end up with the present "religious" concepts of patriarchy, woman, get behind your man, the caveman dragging the gal around by her hair.
So based upon the sexual differences, man is generally (if healthy of mind) attracted to woman (and vice versa) because they each compliment the other, based upon intuitive (spiritual 6th sense) factors ... which when perfected "creates" a loving family by the cooperative union of opposites (natural diversity) resulting in a synthesis producing a synergy (creation) of children.
Now "marriage" is the spiritual blessing of such a union, the bringing together the former duality of (+/-) into a trinity of (+=-) where the Spirit of God is the "=" sign, the unifier, the "bridge of love" that replaces the gap or void "/" of the former duality ...
There is an extremely important message in all of this ... right now in this very nation, and probably the whole world, there is an ever increasing polarization between the natural diversities, between the conservatives and the liberals, much like the (+)'s and the negatives (-)'s ... except in this case, unlike that mentioned earlier, there is little love and no spirit to bridge the gap and void which seems to be growing wider ... IF we are not careful, or do not recognise this mentioned truth of trinity VS duality, we may we end up conflicting ourselves into destruction ... a theoretical Omega of nothing.
As a male brought up typically as such, with John Wayne as my role model, it was not until after my spontaneous spiritual awakening 14 years ago, that I came to realize the wisdom of the Trinity over the ignorance of duality and how we need the interaction of our common Spirit of God to realize the fullness of our potentials ... it was only then that I came to experience the fullness of the heretofore missing "female nature" which was "love and compassion" ... that which complimented my "maleness," finally making me a "whole" (and thus "perfected") human being.

Cosmic Cycles, past, present, and future realities.
Everything in time and space is about change ... the most noticeable to humans have been those involving cycles of relative completion, such as the 24 hour period of the day ... then comes the seasons divided roughly into 4 quarters for the yearly cycle.
And that is about as far as it goes for humankind as pertains to understanding the general earth/world cycles ... within these cycles there are variations of course, because there is nothing, ever, that is "exactly" the same ...
Our scientists have discovered "other" cycles though, one being that within our own physical body, where is a degeneration and regeneration of our cells, which are completely replaced every seven years ... meaning that every seven years we are a completely different human being physically.
Our scientists have also came to other conclusions about our cosmic realities as to space/time cycles and variations ... what used to be called more "subjectively" (mysteriously) the Astrological, of Metaphysics and Spiritual matters, is now been brought "down to earth" as Astronomy ... down to earth, meaning, BASED upon earthly perception of 5 sensory findings, that of scientific objectivity.
But then we have the various Religions that claim to speak for matters transcendent to the worldly objectivity of the secular and otherwise scientific types ... religions then may have a cyclic perception sometimes called "Creation," based upon beginnings called Alpha, and endings called Omega ... cycles of complete totality as far as they are concerned. Yet within that totality they have also heaven and hells for those who will experience something after their earth life, and that depending upon how they have lived that earth life, rewarded or penalized accordingly.
What I am leading up to here, is that our "reality" is NOT what we think it is ... it has been "contrived" by "leaders" that claim authority ... and we have "let" them do that for us because we have been convinced by them, to trust them ... secular and religious ... and by giving them that trust, we have become "their" followers and allowed "them" to control us ...
Ancient texts, rock inscriptions and clay tablets, have been handed down, and/or, more recently discovered, that would confirm a far different reality available for us had we been differently informed or kept "up to date" about the REAL meanings ... but we have NOT been !
There IS a spiritual realm (actually many) that we are very much inter-related with, where everything is interconnected and ongoing ... AND ... INVOLVING COSMIC CYCLES to which the average person is completely unaware of, and in ignorance of, due to our world controllers who have not wanted us to know of, either THAT, or, THEM. Their greatest asset for their purposes has been to keep secrets and disseminate dis-information to confuse us ... yet they say, "trust us and follow us, we will save and protect you" ...
Those, and That, folks, ARE the Evil that has been referred to throughout time ... even the religious institutions have been highly corrupted by them ... in fact, it is "they" who head up the hierarchical apexes of such institutions ... IF they are really spiritual at all, and I believe they are, it is the DARK OCCULT of spirituality that they deal with (and claim the opposite, of course) ... some possibly, probably many, in ignorance of the depraved depths of it ... but others above them, that surely know themselves to beyond TRUE salvation ... they have sold their souls to the devil(s).
This earth world IS the HELL that all are warned of, for all "practical" purposes, yet there will surely be other realms to follow for the playing out of cosmic justice (Karma) ... the problem being though, as far as "we" are concerned, the next cosmic season is already on top of us and playing out as we experience it now. We have been repeatedly "warned" to get our act on track, both spiritually as well as physically ... great advice ... the problem though has been that the institutions have been the foxes guarding the hen-house ... we have been lied to all of those many years ...
The TIME of "judgment" (the determination) as to where we go from here, is now taking place ... the "end times" (as we know it) are here ! Our "materialistic" leaders, as well as the "dark spiritual" ones, are well aware at the higher echelons, and are seeking their followers that will accompany them into the next phase of creation, post the end of this cycle ...
There will be a "dividing of the ways" and those that seek highest truths, will go together to where "everyone" thinks they "want" to go ... those that have allowed themselves to be fooled by the "false ones" will go with "them" (the false ones) ... maybe even believing it the goal they were seeking all along ... at first ... but with time they will come to know they have allowed themselves (yes, their own fault) to be "hoodwinked" ... but it will be too late then, and then they/you will know that they/you are "again" in a relative hell one more time.

Meanwhile, I must tie it to said article of origin ... with the concept that the things that are presently going on in this world with wars and rumors of wars to come (Iran etc), the economic crisis at home, the deceit and outright lying by world leaders, especially our own, are all the signs of the ending of one cycle (cosmic AND world) leading up to the next ...
The information is not really unavailable to prove this to any-one's satisfaction, but it has been made much more difficult to come up with than it should be, just because it goes against the preferences of the "cabals" that prefer to "lead" us elsewhere to "their" benefit.
God is Generic, has no one title nor description, is best found as truth and unconditional love ... that available right INside of each of us ... via our own INtuition to our very own divine souls ... seek there and find the truth that will set you free ! Before it is too late for this current cycle ... peace, j.

And that is about as far as it goes for humankind as pertains to understanding the general earth/world cycles ... within these cycles there are variations of course, because there is nothing, ever, that is "exactly" the same ...
Our scientists have discovered "other" cycles though, one being that within our own physical body, where is a degeneration and regeneration of our cells, which are completely replaced every seven years ... meaning that every seven years we are a completely different human being physically.
Our scientists have also came to other conclusions about our cosmic realities as to space/time cycles and variations ... what used to be called more "subjectively" (mysteriously) the Astrological, of Metaphysics and Spiritual matters, is now been brought "down to earth" as Astronomy ... down to earth, meaning, BASED upon earthly perception of 5 sensory findings, that of scientific objectivity.
But then we have the various Religions that claim to speak for matters transcendent to the worldly objectivity of the secular and otherwise scientific types ... religions then may have a cyclic perception sometimes called "Creation," based upon beginnings called Alpha, and endings called Omega ... cycles of complete totality as far as they are concerned. Yet within that totality they have also heaven and hells for those who will experience something after their earth life, and that depending upon how they have lived that earth life, rewarded or penalized accordingly.
What I am leading up to here, is that our "reality" is NOT what we think it is ... it has been "contrived" by "leaders" that claim authority ... and we have "let" them do that for us because we have been convinced by them, to trust them ... secular and religious ... and by giving them that trust, we have become "their" followers and allowed "them" to control us ...
Ancient texts, rock inscriptions and clay tablets, have been handed down, and/or, more recently discovered, that would confirm a far different reality available for us had we been differently informed or kept "up to date" about the REAL meanings ... but we have NOT been !
There IS a spiritual realm (actually many) that we are very much inter-related with, where everything is interconnected and ongoing ... AND ... INVOLVING COSMIC CYCLES to which the average person is completely unaware of, and in ignorance of, due to our world controllers who have not wanted us to know of, either THAT, or, THEM. Their greatest asset for their purposes has been to keep secrets and disseminate dis-information to confuse us ... yet they say, "trust us and follow us, we will save and protect you" ...
Those, and That, folks, ARE the Evil that has been referred to throughout time ... even the religious institutions have been highly corrupted by them ... in fact, it is "they" who head up the hierarchical apexes of such institutions ... IF they are really spiritual at all, and I believe they are, it is the DARK OCCULT of spirituality that they deal with (and claim the opposite, of course) ... some possibly, probably many, in ignorance of the depraved depths of it ... but others above them, that surely know themselves to beyond TRUE salvation ... they have sold their souls to the devil(s).
This earth world IS the HELL that all are warned of, for all "practical" purposes, yet there will surely be other realms to follow for the playing out of cosmic justice (Karma) ... the problem being though, as far as "we" are concerned, the next cosmic season is already on top of us and playing out as we experience it now. We have been repeatedly "warned" to get our act on track, both spiritually as well as physically ... great advice ... the problem though has been that the institutions have been the foxes guarding the hen-house ... we have been lied to all of those many years ...
The TIME of "judgment" (the determination) as to where we go from here, is now taking place ... the "end times" (as we know it) are here ! Our "materialistic" leaders, as well as the "dark spiritual" ones, are well aware at the higher echelons, and are seeking their followers that will accompany them into the next phase of creation, post the end of this cycle ...
